My Sunday

Today was a great day.

I got to see my sister for the weekend. She drove down here yesterday, Saturday. It was great seeing her. We watched movies, and played Tetris. We also had lunch today. My dad BBQ'd and it was great.

I then got ready to go to my friend Sarah's fundraiser. Carla, painted on my eyes and I think they looked great. I should have taken a pic and posted it for this entry. I'll make sure to do that next time.

I drove to Austin and showed up early to her event to help her setup. I was the photographer for the night. It was a great job and I really hope the pictures came out great. I met lots of great people. It was wonderful. There were a few great Poets and a wonderful band. Also, Sarah has some wonderful artistic friends. She had a silent auction and the many wonderful paintings, and portraits were sold. I won Sarah's Sabritas portrait. I can't wait to frame it and hang it up in my room. I also won a $15 gift certificate from an Italian Restaurant in Pflugerville in a raffle. They tell me it's very delicious. I can't wait to go.

One of the people I met was this guy named Javier. He donated his acrylic painting called Mission San Jose. It was beautiful. I would have bid on it, but since the painting was quite large, it was also quite expensive, but worth every penny. It was truly a work of art. Very beautiful. If I had the money I would have bid on it. :) We talked for a good while and even silently fought for Sarah's Sabritas portrait. He ended up leaving early and left me the portrait without a fight. lol. He was really nice.

All in all the evening went very well. I met lots of Sarah's, and Vicky's friends. I also had lots of coffee at the event. This is why I'm still up writing entries into my live journal. It's good for now b/c I don't have too much time during the week to write entries but I know I'll be regretting it tomorrow.
